Past Projects

Iwalani Venerable has created and facilitated music enrichment classes for various schools in Northern and Southern California through collaborative partnership. The schools that choose to partner with Teacher Iwalani believe in music enrichment as a fundamental skill which will help develop well-rounded children.  This philosophy is reflected in their various teaching styles and educational approaches.

 

Currently looking to provide music and movement enrichment class for grades Pre Kindergarten through 2nd Grade in which students will connect and learn from Iwalani Venerable, a specialized Early Childhood Music Teacher.

Objective

Music and movement allows children to boost their self confidence, independence, social and emotional skills and self control. Students develop a wider vocabulary and knowledge of story structures, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Goals

Some of the major goals we work towards are learning  singing, percussion instruments, confidence, self-care, consent, connection, eye contact, spatial awareness, self-regulation, patience, gratitude, acceptance, concentration,  musical ideas, improvisation, creative movement, dance, music appreciation, instrument exploration, ensemble music, drumming, body percussion, language integration, spoken word, rhythm, rhyme, beginning songwriting concepts and dramatic play.
